The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Canada and Cinematheque Quebecoise will co-host Taiwanese Director Edward Yang’s Retrospective in Montreal from April 2 to 14. Featuring six films, the event serves as a tribute to the late auteur while offering a tantalizing taste of made-in-Taiwan movies.
Dr. David Lee, Taiwan ’s representative to Canada , and Mr. Yolande Racine, executive director of Cinematheque Quebecoise, will host the official opening reception beginning at 4:00 p.m. April 2. The first film of the retrospective, “Taipei Story” (1985), will screen at 5 p.m.
